Concert at Taupo luxury lodge a big success

Last night a crowd of around 70 gathered on the patio and in the marquee at Tauhara Sunrise Lodge, Lake Taupo, to hear three iconic New Zealand songwriters strutt their stuff. And what stuff it was. The crowd didn't want to leave. Wayne Mason, whose hit "Nature" has been judged best song in Australasia in the past 75 years delivered powerful and heartfelt performances, playing guitar as well as keyboards. Rob Winch, guitar virtuoso, mesmerized the crowd with his skillful playing and his heartfelt singing. And Andrew London? Well, he is the consummate entertainer, delivering the banter between songs which at times had not only the audience but the songwriters themselves in fits of laughter. And his humour carries through to his songs too - amazing talent.

Music is something that sets the luxury accommodation at Tauhara Sunrise apart. Not that there are live shows like this very often. But nothing gives the hosts of Tauhara Sunrise more pleasure than personalizing the music being played at breakfast, at happy hour, or in the privacy of guest suites to the tastes of their guests.
